On-Site Service Terms

MyFloat On-Site Engineering & Maintenance Services

These terms apply to all on-site visits, installations, and engineering works carried out by MyFloat.

Applicable Terms: These On-Site Service Terms apply in addition to the MyFloat Terms of Engagement. In the event of any conflict, these service-specific terms take precedence for on-site services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By requesting, booking, or accepting on-site services — including approving a quotation or invoice, or instructing MyFloat to proceed with any works — you agree to be bound by these On-Site Service Terms and the MyFloat Terms of Engagement.

2. Scope of Works

All on-site works will be carried out in accordance with the agreed written quotation. Works not explicitly listed in the approved quotation are considered out of scope.

2a. Variations / Additional Works

If additional faults, requirements, or works are identified during a visit that were not included in the original quotation, a separate written variation approval will be issued before any additional works proceed. The engineer will not carry out out-of-scope works without prior written approval from the client.

3. Pricing Structure

All quotations show a Standard Price and, where applicable, a Cash Price.

  • Standard Price: The full price payable via BACS bank transfer.
  • Cash Price (20% discount): A reduced price available only if paid in full in cash at the completion of the visit.
Cash Payment — Important Notice

The discounted cash price applies only if payment is made in full in cash at the time of visit completion. If cash payment is not made at completion, the standard (non-discounted) price becomes immediately payable via BACS within 48 hours. Any invoice queries must be raised within 48 hours of receipt; undisputed amounts remain payable in line with stated terms.

4. Payment Terms

  • Cash payment: Due in full at completion of the on-site visit. If unpaid, standard price due via BACS within 48 hours.
  • BACS / Invoice: Due within 48 hours of invoice issuance following the visit.
  • Membership account: Added to your membership account for settlement per your agreement terms.

4a. Payment Disputes

Any invoice queries or disputes must be raised within 48 hours of receipt. Undisputed amounts remain payable in line with the stated payment terms. Title to any supplied parts remains with MyFloat until payment is received in full.

5. Attendance & Preparation

  • The client is responsible for ensuring safe access to all areas where works are to be carried out.
  • Customer-supplied parts must be available on-site at the time of attendance. Delays caused by missing materials may result in a return visit charge.
  • MyFloat will endeavour to complete agreed works within the scheduled visit. Complex faults may require a follow-up visit.

6. Limitation of Liability

MyFloat's liability in connection with any on-site service is limited to the value of the works carried out. MyFloat is not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from equipment downtime, loss of revenue, or pre-existing faults not disclosed at the time of quotation. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by law and is consistent with the Terms of Engagement.

7. Title to Goods

Title to any parts or materials supplied by MyFloat remains with MyFloat until full payment has been received. Risk in goods passes to the client upon delivery to site.
